Hayward VSP comm error

So here’s the story, my pump was running yesterday afternoon beyond the normal timer schedule and I went to shut it off from the panel, but it wasn’t responding. Panel was stating VSP comm error under the Default menu (see pic). I did some research on here and checked that the firmware and revisions were not all zeros. I also checked the panel on the pump and it stated comm bus offline, but not sure if that is normal or a symptom (see other pic). I had the breakers off all day today and pump runs once turned on but panel still not responding. Appreciate all input!

Check the comm wire between the pump and panel that it was not cut or chewed.

If it is not the wire, any idea how to tell if the control panel or drive head is the issue?

Same issue here, coincidentally. @thecookie84 any resolution to your issue?

Looks like a bad power end for me. Was told it’s a known problem with the old the ecostar pumps. Pump won’t shut off so I’m manually running it using the breaker for the rest of the season and will replace in the spring.
