This is our first season with the Hayward Omni Logic controlling the pump, chlorinator, etc... and it seems I no longer have control at the actual pump keypad. Tonight our pump "Freeze Protection" kicked on at 39 degrees. That's fine but the pump is running at 100% speed (3300 RPM, I think). I'd rather a Medium speed of 1600 - 2100 RPM would be suffieient and much quieter. Omni will not allow me to adjust the speed or turn off the freeze protection.

Our electrican programmed the system and gave us a basic tutorial in app operation. I've never shut down the Omni system, but is that the way I can get control of my pump back? And is there a way to program the FREEZE protection to be a lower RPM? Or lower what Hayward Omni thinks the "100% pump speed" is to be a lower RPM? At a minimum, I'd like to lower the FP threshhold to 35 degrees & not 39.

Thank You

I am not a Hayward automation person but it would be unusual to not be able to reduce the rpm used for freeze protection. It may be in the automation, or it may be controlled by the pump. In your automation, when you set up functions, is there an On with Freeze selection?

Typically you cannot set a different freeze protection threshold temperature, at least not easily.

Have you considered simply running the pump 24/7 at a low rpm during the known times you are getting freezing conditions?

Pwa , you van adjust the speed for freeze protection in the program. My speed is set to 80% (much quieter) and I just lowered my temp to 35, pool builder had it at 38. It is not hard to adjust the temp or speed in the system
