He had our pool installed in the summer of 2020. We still have the original equipment (Hayward T940, Omnilogic Aquarite 900). May of last year I noticed the salt cell was reading no salt, no current, and my Omni setup is reading —- for temperature. I purchased a handheld tester for salt ppm, got my levels up to about 3k but nothing changed. I decided I would go chlorine tablets for the summer and figure it out next year. Also, I let the firmware go outdated on my Omni hub so I couldn’t do anything through the app. Last week, pool guy comes by and updates the firmware. He put a dummy cell on my setup and put my T940 into a bucket of my pool water, plugged it in and turned it on. We were still seeing 0 amps but we were also seeing small bubbles being produced. He recommended I go with what I have as long as I can. After he left, I got the Omni app connected. The attached file is what I’m working with. My question is this, could I have something else going on other than a bad salt cell? I’m afraid if I buy a new salt cell it might not work because there is something wrong with my system. And if I’m going to have to buy a new system, I think I’d rather go the S route.
