I have a salt water pool with a Hayward 2spd pump and Aquarite system. This weekend I forgot to turn the system off and in the middle of cleaning the filter cartridge the pump kicked off. I was able to turn it off within a minute or two. But after putting everything back together the pump won't stay on. One time it tripped the circuit breaker too. Now the pump would do a few rotations and shut off, it will cycle through this if I keep the pump on. I also noticed pump was running hot and had a burning smell too.
It's under warranty and I called the service company, but they won't get to it for another day or two and in the meantime I have no circulation. Any help is appreciated.
