hayward powerflo LX Question

I am looking to replace my hayward DE filter with a cartridge filter. I dont like dealing with DE and the bumping and backwashing... I have hated this filter since I bought it - BUT I wanted to know if the pump that came with this filter the powerflow LX 1HP, would work with something like the hayward c900 OR C750?

Anyone have nay idea?

For your pool I would recommend a minimum cartridge size of about 120 sqft ... that 90 you could likely get by with, but the 75 is just too small and would require frequent cleanings.

That pump will work fine. I just suggest going as big as you can on the cartridge filter.

Any of the major brands will have cartridge filters in the appropriate size that will work for you. It does not have to be an "above ground" filter.

I ordered a 120sq ft aquapro filter today... Going to sell my Hayward.

That should work well. Keep in mind that cleaning up an algae bloom with a cartridge filter is quite a pain ... so stay on top of your water chemistry

Are you really just using test strips like your signature indicated? That is a recipe for disaster.
