Hayward offline Chlorinator leaking at inlet flange.

Hi,
Has anyone taken apart this section of a Hayward offline chlorinator? I was starting up my uncle’s pool and it’s is spraying water out along where I marked the red line. Is I possible to pop off the front flange?

Sorry you have not received alot of responses. Not a lot of members use Trichlor and thus chlorinators of that type are not typical.

I did a quick Google review and it seems that area is a point of failure. Folks report it pops off. I think you can take it off and hard plumb with full size pipe instead of using the flex tubing.

Hi, I realize this is an old thread but I am experiencing the same issue. This is the second CL220 that I have had this happen too. Was there a trick to getting the cap off? I was going to use some PVC cement to seal it if I can get the cap off without causing more damage. Were you able to repair yours?

Thanks!
