Hayward Model: SP3015X20AZ Plastic bearing ring on the diffuser

I'm wanting to locate the plastic bearing ring for the diffuser, and or the diffuser itself.
The issue is my Rear'y is 20 yrs old though it seems Hayward is still using the same model number for the newer offering. I'm not sure if the new components will work with my close-to-original assembly.

Be sure to install it with the large flange toward the front AWAY from the impeller (counter-intuitive, yes).

Thanks..
So what I'll call the plastic bearing ring that sits on the impellar and a new diffuser arrived as it was damaged as well.
I installed the ring with the wider part of the flange on the impellar, away from the pump toward the diffuser. Cleaned everything off, re-lubed etc, but no water flow and it sounds a bit odd. Didn't run it long, only a couple seconds as the last time I replaced components, I had water movement much quicker. I dont recall which way the bearing ring was originally which is irritating as I usually take pics, etc. Online I see pics of impellar rings in both orientations. Wide part of flange either away or toward the pump.
I currently have it installed as in Pic A. wide part facing away.
No idea what the issue is at this point. There's been no water in the pipes for several days as I waited for parts and I didn't prime it first which I probably should have. Maybe that's it? The ring is not a snug fit of course so things can move so I think what I was hearing was just the looseness of it as there was no water in the system yet ??
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

"A" is correct. They do not fit tightly as they are not a bearing but needed for the pump to prime and function properly. The wide part needs to fill the majority of the gap between the impeller and diffuser. Keeps the water from being pumped back into the hair-and-lint pot.
