I have most of the line of Hayward heaters figured out on how to communicate with the OmniPl. I can get this one to heat but getting the cooling functionality to work is another thing. The firmware is up to date. The only issue is there is only 1 com line terminal. Not separate terminals for heating and cooling. Is it just not compatible with automation?

I believe this is from the correct manual. The 2 wire remote will turn the unit on or off with automation but it has to manually be set to the HEAT or COOL modes.

There are 3 modes on that model. Heat, cool and auto. When you have it programmed to your Omni you should have the option to go into heat or cool mode. Some other models have what is called bypass mode. It shows as BO on the screen on the heater. This model does not have bypass. When configuring the Omni it asks me what relay the chiller is connected to. I only have 1 terminal to wire from the heater.
