Hayward HP21003T Fuse Problem

Hi all! First post from a new pool owner. I'm having a bit of trouble with the electric heat pump installed with my pool. We had it running last weekend to get the pool up to temp for Labor day swimming (it's a bit chilly in PA this week) and all was fine. Sunday I noticed that the heater had shut off and the display was blank. I found that the 1A fuse was blown and replaced it, however as soon as the heater starts it blows again immediately. Anyone have experience with this? Any troubleshooting steps I can take to avoid a service call?

Thanks!

Welcome to TFP! With the fuse blowing like that I would look at the wiring and and breaker before the fuse. If all is good on that side start looking on the other side of the fuse. Do NOT move to a bigger fuse (just in case you were thinking of doing that). Let us know what you find!
