Hayward HP-50HA Heater wiring

So here is my situation. Im an electrician and am wiring this heater for a client tomorrow. He currently has a 120v filter pump controlled by an intermatic digital timeclock with no automation. The Hayward HP-50 requires a 240v 20a circuit ran to it but if you look at the wiring diagram there are also 2 terminals for filter pump enslavement. I cannot find anything that explains this online. What im assuming it means is that you can wire you filter pump through the same feed that your feeding the heater with and daisy chain from circuit breaker, to disconnect, to heater, to filter pump. Only problem i have here is the filter pump is 120v and certainly cannot wire that through the heater. Has anyone installed one of these heaters before?

Here is the link for the manual.

Then run a separate line with a quick disconnect, like an AC unit, and wire it like that. That is the way all of the heat pumps I come in contact with are set up.

That’s what I’m going to do. Run a separate feed to it with the disconnect but I wasn’t sure if they can be interconnected with th enslavement feature on the heat pump. I’m going to treat them as two separate pieces of equipment and he will just have to make sure his filter pump is on in order for the heater to Run. It has a built in flow switch so the heat pump will not run without the pump on regardless
