All too common of a problem with with the Hayward heater. The expensive display needs to be replaced.

Hi Allen, good to hear from you and hope you and family are all well.

Is this is the display panel? I ordered that part and replaced it and the same error came up...so I took out the new one and let the old one just stay. So, what is the part that needs replacing? Also, I read the thread below, or most of it, and I turned off the power to the heater to see if a reset would help? Poster said for 30 seconds, but I learned that it's more like 30 min's to allow all of the static electricity to leave too. Had a display on a gas dryer malfunction and the manual stated to turn off power for 30 sec's. I did and it still had the error. Called an appliance tech and he said to leave it off for 30 mins bc of static electricity. Did that and when I powered it back on, the error was gone.

I'll post back in 30 and let you know what happens...thanks again

Did you read this post…

You actually have to replace BOTH boards in the system because if not you will just fry another board.

Here are the parts you will need to replace:

IDXL2DB1930 Display Board and FDXLICB1930 INTGR.CTRL.BRD.KIT FD. The second board comes with a new airflow switch and you MUST use the new one with the new board.

Have you had rain recently?

We had like 4 days of rain and got the CE error. I opened up the keypad and used the blow dryer on the keypad board and walla, the code cleared and the heater started up. So it appears I need to get something else to cover the keypad besides the manufacturers cover, as I could feel the water on the board before using the blow-dryer.
