The Summit XL is a trade only model line whereas the HeatPro line can be purchased online. Aside from an extended warranty are there any benefits to the Summit XL line? When I bought my Hayward variable speed pump the trade line had upgraded seals in addition to the extended warranty. Comparing the specs and marketing material they appear to be the same aside from a different housing color. Anyone familiar with the Hayward heat pumps and know if there are other differences?

I think if there were any significant differences between the models Hayward would tout them to add value to buying the Trade Grade model. I suspect they are close to identical.
Yeah, they made a point of calling it out for the pumps but they just use vague marketing spin to imply a benefit. I’ll give Hayward a call and try to find the part lists to see if anything stands out between the models.
