Hayward H400IDL banging

I have a H400IDL (no reference in the manual to HDL1 or IDL2), pool built in 11/2002. The banging tells me I need a new bypass valve kit and while I am in there replacing the flow control thermostat seems wise.

There appear to be two kits HAXBPK1931 and HAXBPK1932. I am not sure if they are interchangeable. No listing in my heater manual about a kit. The parts associated with the bypass valve in my book end in "1930".

Anyone know if these kits are interchangeable and/or which one will work for my heater?

Thanks.

Since Hayward cannot tell me where the serial number is located on the H400IDL (and I cannot for the life of me find their data plate anywhere on the heater I have looked, inside and outside), I get to buy both HAXBPK1931 and 1932 and will figure it out when the manifold comes off. The manifold and the bypass changed at 10/28/2000 and my heater was installed in late 2002. I am almost certain that it is the 1931 part (made of part numbers ending in 1930), but I have other folks saying it is the HAXBPK1932 kit.

If you remove the door and look on the floor of the heater, you should be able to see the label. It might be covered in dirt.

The manual has all of the individual part numbers.

I pulled the lower front cover, and the control panel off, pushed all the dirt around and never could find one, for the life of me.
