~2013 Hayward H400FDN with Hayward/Prologic system.
Turned on the hot tub tonight, but when I got in I noticed it was running but wasn't heating at all. Went to pad to check the equipment... I have a full Hayward system, so everything is automated. Valves were switched, speed was right, but heater hadn't ignited. The display has "h0" on it, which I think may be "b0", which AFAIK just means its being remotely controlled.
I took a closer look at the heater but there was no apparent problem; the toggle was on standby, the service light wasn't on, no smell of gas, and I don't see any error codes anywhere. It just wouldn't turn on. I went over and manually turned the heater on and off (it's set to automatically come on with the spa) but no joy. Toggled the system spa/pool setting hoping that would reinitialize things, but no joy. When the heater "comes on" it makes a faint clicking noise about three times and then nothing.
In the past I've had a starting problem when visitors manually turn the heater off, but like I said it's on standby and settings looks fine.
Figured someone here might have an idea what the problem might be. I do a lot of my own maintenance, but I've never dug into the heater itself (though I have repaired my furnace, which seems similar). What could cause the heater to just not turn on but not throw an error code anywhere?
Thanks,
Rt
