Our pool had a Colorlogic LED light in a Hayward Duraniche but it recently broke. Now I need to replace the light and universally it seems that Pentair lights (I'm planning on going incandescent) are better than Hayward. My concern is that I've heard mixed answers on if a Pentair light will fit a Hayward Duraniche. Can anyone help before I blow lots of money on this thing lol. Thanks!

What makes you think Pentair incandescent pool light is better then Hayward?

I think this light is made to fit the Duraniche.

From my extensive research, I don't think anything is really "great" in the LED pool light world. Pretty much everything lasts a couple of years and then you have to replace it. Because of this, I went with a retrofitted AstroLite. I just bought the incandescent Astrolite fixture, and a Pureline LED retrofit bulb, and swapped it in. I don't expect it to last any longer than the Crystalogic or Colorlogic options, but at least when it does go out it's only $80 for another bulb and I don't have to drain the pool to replace it.

I guess I was just basing it on Amazon reviews. Plus, it seems a bit easier to source online and the cost is a bit lower (incandescent housings at least)

I was planning on doing the same thing but the Hayward is over 300 on Amazon and Pentair just over 200. So its a sizable difference.
