Ive had my Hayward system for 3 years now since pool was new. Always worked fine. Recently about a week ago, filter pressure went high so i did normal backwash. Had been a few weeks so seemed fine. After about 4-6 hrs, it was high again. Repeat, and same issue. Then I opened filter and thoroughly cleaned grids. Repeat twice more - same issue.
Now i realized DE powder inwas using was a new brand i never had before. So i went and got different one. Clean grids again- Now after maybe 8 hours, again presssure high and backwash again.
Any thoughts as to what issue could be? Ive cleaned grids twice, no visible signs of damage . No signs of air getting in pool system, Pool water the entire time is very clear no algae. Maybe some pollen or other fine particles, but ive never had this issue before. Also when i backwash now i mostly see DE in the sight glass- no visible sediment like i normally would after a couple weeks. Which leads me to believe filter isnt that dirty, even tho pressure is up. Past few days sometimes i just circulated water to give filter a rest. None of this seems to solve it.
Thoughts?
Btw starting pressure after backwash is usually 10-12, been going up to 20 or so before i backwash it.
