hayward check valve

hi, with my new heater i need to also install a check valve (neither installed yet).

i was wondering if this hayward check valve is a good option?

If you don't have a tablet feeder, you really don't need a check valve as when the SWCG is off, it is off.. there is nothing to feedback into the heater like there would be if you had a tablet feeder..

The valve you picked would work if you have 1.5" plumbing.. If you have 2" plumbing, you would be better off with a 2" x 2.5" valve..
