I found this thread when I was running into a loud hum in my filter. I used a plastic plant saucer, cut out the middle so it would slide over the middle. So far it’s working and no more loud hum. Thought I work share in case others have the issue. It’s sitting so the the top of the plant saucer is flush with the top of the filter. I didn’t take a picture of the after. (I know I’m an idiot)
