Taylor test kit says 3600. My SWG stops generating at 2700ppm. I don’t want to get my salt level too high, but I don’t want to risk SWG not generating if it slips any lower. Cell is 3 years old and recently cleaned.

The Aquarite uses the 'salt' reading on the unit as a performance indicator.
Take the reported level by the unit, 2800, and divide it by the tested 'salt' level, 3600. Once the result is below 0.75, it is time to replace the cell. You are close.

If this is a T15, change the cell type in the menu to T9. It should have the unit work again, for a short time, but will need longer run times at higher % generation to create the same chlorine each day.

I tested again with kit and got 3400. I recalibrated the Aquarite and it’s currently reading 3400. I will see how long it keeps that reading as the instant salinity still reads 2700.

Date of installation was April 2021. I cleaned cell again and it was hardly bubbling when acid went on it. No buildup, still producing plenty of chlorine. In fact, if it’s not working properly, then it’s producing too much. Salt level in pool is 3400 and last night -before cleaning- it read 2700 and low salt, inspect cell lights on. I recalibrated to 3400 after cleaning and this am back to 2900 currently.
Warranty ran out in April. I hate to pay my pool company $100 just to come tell me I need a new cell…

If your SWCG is powered when the pump is not running, that is not good on a couple points. One, the cell can explode if the flow switch fails, and also can mess up the performance reporting, again, if the flow switch fails.

Yea, I’m pretty sure my SWG runs all the time. My pump shuts off for like 5 mins every night. Is testing the flow switch as simple as turning my pump off and see if the No Flow light comes on and the SWG stops?

At the time of installation, the warranty was 4 years.

It looks like the warranty changed in 2023, but in 2021, the warranty was 4 years.

Also the 4 at the beginning of the S/N means a 4 year warranty.

LIMITED WARRANTY (effective 02/12/16) Hayward warrants its AquaRite 900 series chlorination products to be free ofdefects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of four (4) years.
