New pool owner here. When I run my pool cleaner from time to time the cord get caught up in the skimmer and my sheer decents go off and you can hear it sucking air until I have to go outside and pull the cord out of the skimmer. Is there a way to stop it from getting caught up in the skimmer so often while the cleaner is running?

I figured it out i turned one of my return jets toward the skimmer and it keeps the hose from getting close to the skimmer so it doesn't get sucked in. Thanks for the reply but after sitting there and watching it for a while I thought I would try that and it works great.
