Hayward Aqua Plus Pump not working

My pump is not turning on. Checked all power supplies and made sure that filter was on. System says hi or low speed, but the pump never turns on. Any ideas? I have turned off and on all the breakers. Pump is only 3 months old.

What model pump do you have?

Do you have a multimeter? Check the voltage between L1 and L2 feeding power to the pump.

You want to start by checking if you have power at the pump. If not then you move back and check power at the relays in the panel.

See page 8 - you need to determine if your pump is 230V or 115V. Then check voltage between common wire and low or high speed wires.

If you press the Filter button, does the light next to the button come on?

Check the diagnostic readings in diagnostics.

Yes, the light comes on, but nothing happens. And if I set it to low, it flashes, as it should, but again nothing happens.

In general, yes. If that work would void a warranty, then no. I believe the contractor guarantees everything for a year.

You can start by removing the panel and checking the voltage at the breaker, then at the relay line terminals (first and third terminals) and then the relay load terminals (second and fourth).

Do you have a picture of the pump motor label?

If you don't feel comfortable dealing with it, contact the pump installer and ask them to check it out.
