So my 15 x 30 AGP came with a wide mouth Hayward skimmer. The outside of the skimmer has a pipe that extends out the bottom. This pipe has threads on the inside and the outside. It came with a part that screws on the inside and the dimension of this pipe is 1.5" However I do not want to use this piece. I want to hard plumb to the outside threads seeing as I have already hard plumbed my entire system at 2". I went to the local home depot and bought a 2" female adapter but it is too small to screw onto these outside threads. It's almost as if the outside threads are 2.25 or 2.5".

Does anyone know where I can get 2" PVC that will connect to these outside threads of the skimmer?

Went back to Home Depot, bought a 2" union thinking it would screw onto it, nope. I don't understand why they made these threads larger than 2" but barely. It's like they are 2.25" /shrug

I had the same issue and went back & forth numerous times to Lowes & HD looking for the fitting. I finally found couplings that did the trick. They are picey and at first i had no use for the rest of the part. Thought I would at least throw it out there.
I returned so many parts that did not work.
Here you go. Sent you the links & pic if they work
Good luck

All I could find was that it's a Hayward wide mouth skimmer. I must of thrown away any paperwork that was inside the box when I threw away the 20+ boxes the whole pool came in.
