Having some trouble…

I have vacuumed the algae out and the pool looked great then over the last few weeks it looks like this. I don’t think it’s algae and I realized I have put way to much chlorine in the water. I also added muriatic acid and this is what my test strip says

Please if you have any advice or know how to fix this let me know. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TFP! :wave: Well, no doubt about it, you have algae. No amount of filtering will kill the algae. You need to follow what we call the SLAM Process. This is where you verify an accurate CYA reading and increase the FC (and maintain it) according to the FC/CYA Levels. You maintain that elevated FC level and do all the tasks on that SLAM Process page until you pass all 3 criteria.

First & foremost, you have to trash the test strips and get yourself a TF-100 (link in my signature) or Taylor K-2006C test kit. It all starts there. Check out those links, update your signature, and let us know if you have any questions.
