Hey guys. BIG thanks to everyone here, I'm pretty much on track, passing OCLT (barely) but I'm still getting some stuff dropped from leaves and caterpillar poop so I'll chalk it up to that. test results:

FC: 7.5
CC: 0
pH: 7.8
TA: 230
CH 140
CYA: 75? (I ran out of test fluid, so this is my results from 3 days ago. Should be the same today.

I know my CYA is a little high, but I can deal with it this season. I'm going to bring my FC up to 9.5 in a bit with some bleach. Anything else I should be doing, or is everything "good enough" and I should just leave it?

Your PH is at the high end of the range. Since it's been a few days since testing I would retest it and adjust down to 7.5 with muriatic acid if needed. You can use the pool math link at the top of the page to calculate how much you need to add.

Lowering pH down to 7.5 is probably a good idea.

CYA at 80 is easily manageable. Always round up to the next 10. Mine is always 80. :) Keep your FC up around 20+ today and 12-15 tomorrow. It is safe to swim with FC up to shock level for your CYA, [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]. More FC Ali's always better. We swam every day for over a week a couple of summers ago with CYA at 70 and FC at 28 and nobody even noticed except the guy with the test kit.
