Saw this on Amazon Amazon.com and was wondering if it's worth investing in one. I use the test strips, but at $10+/bottle, it adds up. Seems to get good ratings.

I use eSeasonGear SALT-3000 Meter, Digital Salinity PPM Temperature Tester for Salt Water Pool and Koi Fish Pond bought from Amazon.
You don't need to check salt levels frequently. I have the salt test kit and used it twice in 2 years.
The “stores” are for parts and part numbers but when you click on the links the seller can be either Amazon, the manuf, or any random seller. There is a link to “see other sellers” and sometimes I’ll go looking for a seller I recognize or amazons own listing even if it’s a few dollars more. There is so much junk on Amazon these days ….
