My new back-fence neighbors apparently decided to drop a grand on fireworks. It was an impressive show- I remember growing up and thinking bottle rockets were the best, but now it seems near-industrial grade pyrotechnics are the trend. My dog, who normally sleeps through the neighborhood fireworks, was just a bit sketched out by the explosions in close proximity to his domain. Well done, neighbors! I'm actually quite surprised that NextDoor isn't full of people complaining (there was a HUGE virtual war on the topic of New Years fireworks).

Now, the pool related part: The amount of fireworks debris in my pool this morning is staggering! Tons of paper and plastic, as well as the residual powders; some appeared to have iron in them so now I'll be jumping in today with a bag of citric acid (after I'm sure that everything else looks normal). My best hope is that some of that powder had calcium in it, as my CH is low. :ROFLMAO:

Check the chlorine. The ammonium nitrate residual on the fireworks can wreak havoc ------
