Last week I had a problem with my valve on the intake side. It made noise and would get stuck. I replaced it and it is fine. At the same time I checked to make sure the return side valve turned and didn’t make any noise and it was fine. Today when I put the system into spa mode the new valve turned fine but the return side didn’t move. I tried the toggle switch and nothing. I double checked in the Easy Touch box that I didn’t accidentally loosen the wire when I replaced the other valve and everything was ok. Is it a valve issue or an automation issue? Thanks

I have someone coming at the end of the week. Putting the thermistor in the pipe looks pretty easy but getting to the wiring looks harder. I was going to splice the wire but didn’t know if that was ok?
You probably could if you soldered, but it would be best to replace the part without cutting the wire.
I don't think that it would be too hard as long as you follow the wires. but it does go through the high voltage compartment, so only do it if you feel comfortable doing that.
FYI I disconnected the new valve and plugged it into the other slot it worked fine. I tried the problem valve in the opposite slot and nothing. So I guess it’s the valve?
Thanks for all the help. The ac guy came today and put the thermistor in, he didn’t even shut the power off when he opened the high voltage cabinet. He checked to make sure the heat pump ran properly all for $95.00

I just replaced another valve so I took out the limit switches from the one that worked and still no luck. It’s just totally dead. I am replacing it tomorrow when I get the new one in I ordered. Thanks

Bummer. I keep a supply of limit switches for my actuators. Easy to replace and have always worked.
I put the new valve in today and it was definitely the problem. Now I have to adjust the cams. I need it to stop in the middle so the returns are both open. Then when I turn on the spa the actuator turns to the right and closes off the pool return. What do I need to do to set this up? I haven’t opened the top of the valve yet.

I put the new valve in and no matter what I try I can’t set the cams correctly. This is a TORK brand if it makes a difference. I want the valve to stop in the center to allow the water to go to my pool and spa. When my spa automation is turned on I need the valve to rotate 90 degrees and stop looking at the valve from the back.
If my handle is in the middle what should the bottom cam be on (0, 90, 180, 270) as it lines up with the left limit switch and then the top cam with the right limit switch the same numbers. Thanks

The Easytouch has a Spillway function. You can schedule it for a couple times per day for 30 minutes or so to refresh the spa.
the spa spillway is always on. The problem is isolating the spa when the heater is on. At present the actuator has to be run by the switch because the cams are in the wrong position, which is what I can’t figure out. This is on the return side. The suction side actuator is fine.

Yes and that’s what I can’t figure out. I guess I will have to try to play with each setting and try to figure it out.
