Gunite Spa Dimension

Can anyone tell me approximately how thick the gunite is in the walls of a typical 7x7 spa? are the top ledges the same thickness as the pool 12" bonded beam? Or are they typically 9"?

It would be a spa where the pool water is surrounding at least three sides, possibly full surround.

I have a circular spa and about 1/4 of it shares a wall that is about 8" thick. Maybe 9". Nowhere near a foot.

thanks.. Was wondering if the bulk them up given the pressure if the water is drained and pool water forces on it.

I've saw a few threads that stated the spa can me customized however you like. Is there a reason builders don't typically slope the back of the seating? Every gunite spa I've ever saw, had straight vertical backs. It must be a cost impact to build it sloped? Or difficulty to get right? Just seems like an easy "add-on" for builders if minimal to no cost.
