Our gunite shell doesn't hold water when it rains. Is that a problem? Also...it was shot last October, still no plaster, will it be okay?

Gunite is not waterproof.
The plaster will be the waterproof layer on the shell.

How much water and how fast does it loose the water? As a concrete shell it will hold water while it absorbs water. The shell can sit for years before final plaster is applied.
Thank you for the answers. I've never seen it hold any water, the spa does though, so the water/snow melt is draining somewhere at the bottom of the pool. 20x50 - 4 to 9 feet.
