I am in the process of having a gunite pool installed. When digging we hit groundwater about 1.5 ft from the bottom. I know the builder put some crushed stone on the bottom but not sure how much. We have been pumping for about 2 months now and they just applied gunite last week. If we turn the pump off the water comes up. The builder put 2 holes in the bottom temporarily. The hose broke the other day and I could see water coming up around the bottom drain. What should the builder do to seal this up? Will this be an ongoing issue? I should keep the pump running until they plaster and fill the pool correct? Should I have any concern in the long run or do something to help now? Thanks

You have to get rid of the water.. You can't stop it, your pool builder needs to figure a way to drain the water away from your pool...

My sump pump has been running for about 7 years, even in the middle of the hottest summers...
