I sort of jumped in and posted about our pool before posting an intro so here it is . . .
Husband and I purchased a home, about a year ago, with an abandoned pool. We have never been pool owners so this is all new to us. the repair of the pool is on the list of many projects to be completed and due to the heat this summer (it reached 110 last weekend), it has moved to the top of the list.
We've tried getting pool guys out (I've called at least 5) and have only had two of them come out. And neither came back with any information. No quotes (not even lottery winning quotes), no, "We can't help you.", nothing. I even called and texted them back and received crickets.
So, we are going DIY. We have a large pool (pun intended) of family and friends to draw on; some skilled, some willing to work, some wanting to see if it works for us so they can try it themselves.
Looking forward to learning and posting our successes (and failures) to help others learn.
