Good morning everyone;

I have recently taken over responsibility for a group of 4 small pools used in a very busy public spa here in British Columbia. I have a fair bit of pool experience in larger hospitality settings, but so far these 4 little pools are proving to be a bit of a juggling act to get in line.

I've inherited a book of standard pool protocols that seems very out of date to me, so I'm working on updating the desired chemistry for each pool, and how I can train junior staff on how to better care for our water.

Looking forward to discussions and lots of learning. This site seems like such a valuable resource, and I'm only a few hours in.

Hey Bosun and Welcome !!!

Commercial/public pools often have different requirements than residential pools. The 1st step is to check local ordinances to see the proper protocols.

We can definitely help you understand the science, whether or not you're allowed to implement any of it.
