Green pool, SWG broken - advise on how to maintain pool until SWG is fixed.

You can add some more since you are slamming at the 40 level. IT may have dropped off a little with the water add you did yesterday. Add enuf to go up to 40 for now.
The chart that shows mustard is a broken down one.. the other one is rounded off and less technical

ITs actually all up to the filter now... the slam levels are just there to keep any more from growing while the rest is being filtered out...
DE filters are more effective at this but they do clog up faster since they catch more. Sand filters are generally the slowest at this process but still do a really good job. A lot of people add a little DE to their sand filters and it helps bring out more sparkle... Kinda like using a finer grit sand paper. Up to you if you want to add any. Im actually thinking about doing it with mine.

The stuff never goes bad, and I like to use it when people are coming over. Could be my imagination, but it seems to really makes the sparkle "pop".

Also one day you may add bleach or baking soda that has an additive you didn't notice and you want some help filtering it out. Not that I've ever done that or anything. :brickwall:

Good afternoon, FC level dropped to 11 after a huge downpour today.
Pool is clearer now than this morning. Not crystal clear yet.

Shall I do another test tonight? and take it up to 16 FC right now?

Good morning, clarity is much better and the test was perfect 16 fc last night, and 16 fc this morning. CC was zero.
Im ready to swim. :).
My thinking is to push up the cya to normal levels and let the fc level drop to regular levels (probably 4 fc).

What do you think?
Thanks for your help.
