Opened up the pool this year after setting all winter. It was very dirty lots of leaves but thought we had most of it cleaned out. Dumped a 1190z jug of Algae Guard (1/2 bottle twice), Added about 4 bags of shock and really no change. Added a bottle of Drop Out Flocculant and still no change. We have a sand filter with the blue balls replacements, We have 2 sets of those and have washed and replaced them twice. We have tested it and our reading change daily. Today our our Chlorine level is low but yesterday it was High. PH is acceptable last few days and ALKALINITY AND CYANURIC ACID is low both days. Total Hardness is acceptable. We have vacuumed the pool 3 to 4 four times but cant see the bottom to see how we are doing, but we are not getting much if any debris. Im just about ready to PULL the PLUG and start with clean water but thought id see if anyone had something else we can try? Thanks Jason

Welcome to the forum!
You need to follow the SLAM Process. To do that, you need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100/Pro or Taylor K2006C. A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.

While you are waiting on your test kit, add 5 ppm FC worth of liquid chlorine / plain bleach to your pool each evening with the pump running. This will replenish the FC lost each day to the sun and also inhibit any algae in the water from growing further.
I suggest you read through Pool Care Basics - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool
