Learned today that our youngest daughter is providing another grandchild! This will make 16 total, 10 biological, 1 that adopted us when I babysat her, and 5 more from the daughters spouse. It matters not that any of them are not biological, they are welcome as family and will be loved equally.

The ones you choose to be around can be far better than the ones who share the same genetics. My kids have at least a dozen ‘fake’ aunts and uncles. The love goes both directions for all of them. And it makes up for the 2 actual aunts who aren’t involved in their lives.
That's exactly why the one little girl adopted us, her dads parents aren't in her life so she latched on to us, I babysat that little girl from the time she was about 2 until they moved, she always wants to stop & see us when she is in town visiting my granddaughter.

What a blessing. Mazel Tov! I think each grandkid extends the life of the grandparents by 6 months each 
Congratulations. I have one granddaughter and she is my life! She tells her mommy that I am the Boss of everyone (we had a custody dispute when she was nearly 4 years old with her father. I destroyed his custody in court because I had to due to his active status as a heroin user.) Let's just say that her safety and security is of the utmost importance to me and I will stop at nothing to make sure she is taken care of. I love her so much. She knows it too.

My parents have 16 grandchildren and we gave them 9 of those (4 of ours are adopted).
