Glacier Pool Cooler - Help

Here is how my Glacier GPC-210 is plumbed and automated via Intellicenter. I have an automated 3-way valve right after the filter. When the cooler is operational, the water flows to the SWG, and then the primary returns. The 3-way valve only sends water down the primary pipe when the cooler is off. I have a manual diverter valve on the input to the cooler to control the flow. The output of the cooler goes into a 3-way valve where one side is a dedicated return in the pool's deep end, and the other is a dedicated return to the spa.

I don't have any check valves in place because my equipment pad is several feet above my pool. I have not implemented any solution to keep the basin from overflowing if the sump pump fails or the 3-way valve opens without powering the cooler. I want something in place and am looking for the best ideas.

I have a single circuit supplying power to the cooler's switch. The power is from a relay fed from the main pump's relay. I named the 3-way valve and a pump speed the same as the Aux circuit, so all three act in concert. I like the idea of always having the power to the sump pump hot so I may run a new hot circuit and let the fan be controlled by the relay.
