Gifted Pool, Missing a Part?

I was given a used pool, and seeing as they are impossible to find for sale right now I was grateful to receive it! But it seems that I am missing a part and so we aren't able to connect the pump/filter or fill the pool up all the way. I am not even sure what the part is called, so I am hoping to get some input from this group.

The pool is an Intex Easy Set 18' x 48". It is not the latest model, so it has only 2 openings in the side wall for the inlet/outlet for the filter. Each opening is a 3" diameter circle. What I am seeing online is that there is supposed to be "something" in those holes. The filter has hoses that connect to basket strainers with a hose clamp. But without the "something" in the wall of the pool, the filter pieces don't lock in or form any sort of seal to the wall. Water just pours out. What are these missing things and where can I buy them? If the original parts can't be purchased, what are my options?

Thank you!

It looks like you should have parts that look like this and it should have a part that screws on from the outside to clamp the liner and make a seal.

What's the hose diameter?

The hoses are 1.25" diameter. The link you provided is the correct strainer, etc. What is odd is that there are supposed to be black rubber tubes permanently attached to the pool. At least that's what I am seeing in photos (I attached one as an example). Then I guess the parts just push through the tubes and it creates a nice waterproof seal. But for some reason, this pool doesn't have those rubber tubes. They don't seem to be a replaceable part. So I think I need to install a different type of inlet/outlet setup that will seal a 3" opening?

If you can't find the parts you can do a search for bulkhead fittings and find one that fits that opening. Then just go to the hardware store and buy a few bits and pieces to adapt that to the hose size. You can get some bulkhead fittings at local places like Home Depot, or try Grainger Industrial, or if you have one nearby anywhere that sells poly tanks.

Not positive - but I don't think all Intex pools come/came with the black rubber hose piece coming out of the inlet ports. I believe there have been some design changes over the years. You should be able to find threaded parts that have just an o-ring type seal on the inside of the pool that seals the inlet port to the liner, with a large nut on the outside of the liner to fasten it. Tried to clip a picture below:
