Getting sparkling water back?

Good morning all, I've been following this site even before I built my pool. It's the best place to learn about pool chemistry! After struggling at the end of last season with high CYA from pucks, I bought the Test kit and am using liquid chlorine and cal hypo 73% granules. Here are this morning readings:

FC 6
PH 7.5
TA 120
CYA 45
CH 230

Even though these # look good?? I do not have that crystal clear water I had last season with higher CYA. Any advice is greatly appreciated; you guys are the best!

The chemistry looks good.

My suggestion: add a little DE to the filter, brush every inch of that pool, and leave the filter run all day.

If you have a neighbor with a DE filter, go beg a coffee can's worth. It generally comes in big bags that will be a lifetime supply otherwise. Food-grade and garden DE are not the same, which is too bad because they are smaller packages. You can also use cellulose DE substitute. If you use that, be very light-handed. Reports indicate that it doesn't create the pressure rise DE does initially, so overloading it is a real possibility. Stop at two cups even if you haven;t seen the pressure rise. You will if you're patient for a day or two.

Thanks for the advice! I forgot to mention that I live in the Houston Tx area. Temps are in the mid nineties with humidity to match. I will update when I find some DE. My neighbor has DE filter so that's the 1st place I will go.
