i finally have some time to start the water change. i’ve chosen the tarp method since my 11k gallon IG FB pool has a cya around 300. currently the water looks perfect and the fc has been kept in the low 20’s.
here’s my plan. i will use my little giant 1700 gph cover pump on the bottom of my 4’ deep pool. i’ll hook up a 100’ garden hose to run downhill from the pool. in order to get some sort of measurement of discharge rate, i’m will fill a five gallon bucket and time it. i will also fill and time a bucket from my supply, which is a 600’ garden hose coming from my neighbors house. hopefully i can “match” the input to the output to be reasonably close.
i have a 30x50 tarp to cover the pool.
during the fill i would like to treat the water with chlorine .... i was thinking one 3” puck, since i’ll need some cya to keep the chlorine from cooking off.
i’d like to have some comments on this please... thanks in advance
