(Trying to get working a Hayward HP50HA1 with a Zodiac Aqualink Z4 & iAqualink in a small Mexican town with zero pool technicians here.) Do I need to put the heat pump into a remote control mode to be controlled by the Z4? I found the instructions below (for different model) I plan to try. Not sure if the heat pump will be able to automatically tell if it's remotely controlled or not.

-Hold the SET button until LOC comes up.
-Up arrow increasing numbers until 50.
-Hit SET repeatedly until P_S comes up.
-Hit arrows until E (External) is displayed.

Question 2: I'm assuming I'm not able to connect the Zodiac Z4 with the Heat pump using the RS-485 network connection. Plan on connecting pins 1&2 of the green 10 pin connector of the Z4 to the DI01 & Gnd of the Heat Pump. The manual is not very helpful. (Only need heat mode.)

Hope you can help TFP!
