hey everyone,

I am looking for some general information and I figured I could ask it all in one place, so here we go!

- If you have a leaking pump basket, is it better to just replace the basket or go with a new pump setup assuming the pump is pretty old?

- I have a splashpak Filter and Pump setup that is 1HP rated, I am looking at a pump that is dual speed but is 1.5HP high end, is that too much for a filter? basically do filters get rated that way?

- My Splash Omega pool appears to be missing the inserts that go inside the hose connectors. Are these pretty standard where I can just order a few or do I need to from Splash pools direct?

Thanks!

That would depend on what is leaking. Usually it is the pump lid gasket and/or drain plugs. Plumbers grease can usually seal that but you may need a new lid gasket.

Impossible to say without knowing the filter size/GPM limit and the pump models you are considering. You can't really use HP for pump sizing.
