I have a 48” round concrete fire pit. We currently have a waterproof cover on it when not in use to avoid water getting to the gas burner. This year I’d like to buy a lid to place on top to protect it and also use as a table top.
Any suggestions? I want it water tight. Ideally I could get a custom one made out of HDPE polywood type lumber or sheets. Does anyone know of a company that offers that or have other ideas? The sheet metal ones tend to have holes which water I would assume would get through. I need something weather resistant and water tight.

Post a pic of your fire pit once the snow melts. It may give folks ideas about what you can use.

I’ve seen ones on Etsy out of wood or metal but I want it to last and not leak.

I have a SoloStove and was also looking for a lid that could be used as a table. I know SoloStove makes lids as well, but I had a local metal shop fabricate one for me. It was actually a little less expensive than the one from SoloStove (I know the guy who owns the shop), but a simple, stainless lid with a handle worked perfectly for a table when we aren't using it as a fire pit. Mine is not waterproof, I still use a fabric cover, but just to give you another idea about a lid.

With your fire pit, it may be a little more detailed as it appears as the stones are higher than the rim in some places, but a good metal shop should be able to bend something pretty nice for you.
