Garden hose stuck behind pool liner

Hello everyone! I opened my pool and had a floating liner. Bought a transfer pump, stuck a garden hose behind the liner in the deep end, and let it run for about an hour. It definitely worked in getting the liner situated, but now because the liner is tight, I cannot remove the garden hose! Its tight enough that I’m afraid if I really tug on it, I’ll rip the entire liner.

I‘m trying to not have to remove the water to get it out, water is very expensive where I live. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to free it up a bit? I tried adding some air with my shop vac and while it did help, it’s not enough. Any advice would be great!

So I tried some tips from searching the internet, and yesterday I had a little success getting the liner back in the track, but today, I cannot get it to move at all. I dropped the water level to just below the skimmers, I’m using a heat gun on low, moving side to side for about 15-20 seconds at a time, but it just doesn’t seem to have anymore give in it.

Anyone have some advice that works from personal experience? It hasn’t been warm the past few days, but I figured the heat gun and dropping the water would have helped.

I always had luck working either end, 1/100 of a mm at a time. Basically rubbing/massaging at the split, over and over and over and the friction warmed it enough to stretch. Then i'd hit a spot that didnt want to go any further and switch to the other side until that stopped going further. A few switches later, i was in the middle and done.
