I asked him to build it flush but with a gap for cover. Now I am wondering since we have many tiny feet in the form of grandchildren that come to swim, if I should fill that gap with something. In my mind its a T made of heavy duty foam that can be cut in pieces to navigate around the gap which has 1.5-1.75 inch gaps depending on the spot, but not sure if there is a reality to match my imagination. I would welcome opinions on first-whether or not I should worry about a gap that size with feet and second if so, if anyone has solutions or things you have tried that I should stay away from. Pics to show all along edge. Thanks in advance!
