FYI... Thermistor replacement on SWG board without soldering

This is just an FYI that may help others....

My SwimPure Plus broke with the Thermistor issue (power light won't come on but the red no flow comes on then goes off). My unit is 18 years old. In that time, I have sent out the board once for a Thermistor repair and once for a reconditioning.

I hate soldering but found an non-soldering solution on ebay. I tried it out and it seems to work (at least for a day)

Here is the telling condition... the cracked Thermistor

Here is the replacement part....

The thing breaks apart when removed!!!

And here is the installed Thermistor... the Power light is on!
I didn't need to remove many cables or screws to install the Thermistor. I did need to bend it and make sure it didn't touch any other board parts.

Nice hack.

Can you share a link where you got the screw on splices?
 

I went ahead and bought a kit for it. I actually couldn't tell from the listing what the connections were actually going to look like.
