Fresh fill - Water Balance Issues

Following the two stickied posted, I cleaned my tub and refilled hoping to finally keep my PH swings in check.

As per the threads, I made sure my calcium hardness is above 100ppm (125ppm currently) then proceeded to balance my TA. With jets running my PH still spikes to over 8.0... according to the post I need to lower my PH/TA via acid, but that I also don't want to drop to below TA 50ppm.

Values:
CH - 125ppm
TA - 50ppm
PH - 8.0

I'm lost at what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Fresh fill so no bromine added yet. I do have the Taylor kit for testing in case I'm missing something.

Welcome to TFP.

You are fine with pH of 8.0 and TA 50.

If your pH gets above 8.2 then lower it to 7.8 and no lower. Let your TA be wherever it wants.

Taylor makes a lot of kits, some better than others. What model do you have?

How do you plan on sanitizing?

I thought the intent is be around 7.5, with 7.2-7.8 being the acceptable range?
No reason to focus on a specific number. Any pH in the 7's is ok. With the low TA 7.8 is a good target.

Bump on this one... after a few weeks I'm back to a never ending battle with PH/TA, which both falling off to the point of PH being below 7 and TA not registering at all.

Taylor K2006 and Bromine pucks as my sanitizer.
PH is now 6.8ish (off the scale, but using the base demand drops to estimate it).
TA is now 0, down from 50ppm.

Getting very frustrated that I need to constantly add something to use my hot tub every single time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The bromine tabs are acidic- get your ta back up to 50/60 with baking soda and see what your ph does.
