Freezing in Texas

Right now we've been below freezing 36 hours or so. Several days still to go. Water is circulating with the freeze protection and I have it set to be on 24/7 as a backup. I didn't "close" or winterize because - it's Texas. So here I am. Thoughts on what to do if or when we lose power? I'm trying not to panic.

Mel,

If the power is expected to be out for more than 30 minutes or so, I would shut off the circuit breakers to the equipment pad and remove the drain plugs from the filter and pump(s).

That is about all you can do.

If you do such the system down, maybe also place a partially empty bottle or jug in the skimmer as well. Watch this clip.
