I popped the cover and threw in the robot and ended up with this. I poured some Muriatic acid on a pile of it and boy did it bubble. Are there any steps I should take?

Is this a common thing? I have four or five seasons of opening this pool and have never seen this before. Was it caused by high Ph over the winter?

Once in a while I'll find a little calcium in my robot basket, but nothing like what I see in yours..
Run a full set of tests and report back your findings.
