Hi all! My husband accidentally used food grade DE in our pool filter. Now we have a murky pool with a film on top. How do I filter it out? It's too small to be filtered out by the filter. I need help. I tried to let it all settle to the bottom, but it's so light and small, the particles stay suspended in the water. Do I have to drain the pool and add new water????

If you have recharged with the proper DE, it will filter the food grade DE. It will probably take some time. DE filters typically filter down to around 3 micron. 3 micron is smaller than a human red blood cell. In other words, if you can see it the DE will catch it. Scrub like crazy and run your pump 24/7. It should eventually filter it out. How much did he put in before he noticed the problem? Depending on how much, once it filters out, you will probably need to clean and recharge the filter again.
