Hi - We are building a pool pavilion. It will have stacked stone on the columns up 3' and same on the closed side. It's going to be open on three sides (mostly closed on the 4th for a bathroom and pool storage). I have a question about the lighting on the outside of the pool house, especially. I'll send a picture so you can see, but our house is on one side, and it has some flood lights. We have a good bit of concrete, so I think it's far enough away from the house to not draw bugs (I haven't had a problem before). Do you think we should put flood lights on the outside of the pool house to match the house? We are not having any "landscape lights", just lights in pool, house flood lights and whatever we do with the pool house. Any lighting recommendations? Do you like flood lights? Any lighting that you particularly like for the inside of pavilion, also. I forget what the building is planning to use.

Thank you.

I would consider adding exterior sconce fixtures high on the pool facing side some some or all of the columns on the pavilion.

And also something inside the pavilion. There's lots of choices, and much will depend on your budget, but multiple lower-brightness fixtures will provide much more pleasant lighting than a flood light off in the corner.

Are there any structures in the corner of the yard where you took the photograph from? You might consider adding lighting of some sort there as well.
